In Memory of Heather Ho
August 17, 2004

Ho, Heather Ho; I remember how much fun it was to have you in class. I remember getting such a kick out of you. You were always dressed perfectly and your energy level was most impressive. You would burst through the door with that huge smile and you were present, very present. So present for your life, that's what I will always remember about you. You lived every moment and then ran on to the next moment, class, and gathering. I see you running, moving through school from one activity to the next. Always present and always running. Your personality was a collection of all the traits that represent people who love life. You were always positive and up, you added to, contributed, spread joy and love. Nice going by you. You lived your life to the fullest.

I struggle to relate to how hard losing you must be for your family and special friends. Sitting at your service, I was struck by all of the good feelings that you left behind. You touched many people in such a profound way; indeed, you were a very special person. I promise you that I will use your memory to inspire me just as you inspired me with your presence. You made teaching fun; you brought out the best in everyone and everything. Knowing you was an honor.

God Bless you and your memory,

Brad Yates
